At the same time, you will also find useful information regarding the bilateral relation and friendship ties that exist between Azerbaijan and Mexico, as well as with other nations of Latin America. Diplomatic relations between Mexico and Azerbaijan were established in 1992. Las relaciones diplomáticas entre México y Azerbaiyán se estableció en 1992. Since January of 2007, this Embassy opened its doors with the purpose of consolidating the enduring friendship and cooperation relations currently existing between Azerbaijan and this region of the world. Desde enero de 2007, la Embajada abrió sus puertas con el objetivo de consolidar la amistad y de cooperación que existen actualmente entre Azerbaiyán y esta región del mundo. Our main task has been to work together with the Mexican authorities in strategic issues for both countries. Nuestra tarea principal ha sido la de colaborar con las autoridades mexicanas en cuestiones estratégicas para ambos países. As well, we have had a strong commitment to pursue new ways of interaction with all countries of the Latin American region. Además, hemos tenido un fuerte compromiso de buscar nuevos canales de interacción con todos los países de la región latinoamericana.

On October 27, 2010, by the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation, presidents of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation met in Astrakhan and discussed in detail the course of and prospects for settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. By having confirmed the provisions of the Joint Declaration, signed in Moscow on November 2, 2008, the presidents stressed that settlement of the conflict by political and diplomatic means require further efforts aimed at strengthening ceasefire and confidence-building measures in the military field, the statement says.  President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his US counterpart Barack Obama have today met in New York. El presidente de Azerbaiyán, Ilham Aliyev, y su homólogo EE.UU., Barack Obama, ha reunido hoy en Nueva York.
The two presidents praised the development of the Azerbaijan-USA relations, which, they said, were based on the principles of strategic cooperation. Los dos mandatarios elogiaron el desarrollo de las relaciones entre Azerbaiyán y EE.UU., que, según ellos, se basaron en los principios de cooperación estratégica.
Barack Obama praised President Ilham Aliyev`s leadership role, calling Azerbaijan the most successful and one of the most influential countries in the region. The International Baku Jazz Festival kicked off with a concert by the Arena Big Band of Azerbaïdjan. El Festival Internacional de Jazz de Baku se inició con un concierto de la banda Arena grande de Azerbaiyán. Farah Aliyeva, the festival organiser said: “Everyone loves jazz in Bakou.
